Date with Kate

[page 3] DATE with KATE Hello, I'm Kate Bowman, and I'm 10 (11, on June 3). Are there any other sub-teen fans out there? If so, maybe they'll enjoy some of the books I like. This time I'll tell you about _Citty Chitty Bang Bang_, The Magical Car, by Ian Fleming. (He wrote about James Bond, too, but I haven't read those.) CCBB is a car that can fly, and her license plate was GEN11 (genii, get it?). Besides all the exciting adventures, there's even a recipe for fudge (I mean fooj) in the back of the book (I like to eat!). They are making CCBB into a movie. I'm anxious to see CCBB fly like she does in the book. -- K.B.
