[page 21] Larry paschelke sent in the following clipping from the Jan. 18 issue of "The Oregonian": "Reed college"s @"Reed College's"@ FM radio station, KRRC, is currently broadcasting the book that is in with the in crowd at the colleges, "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien. "The Hobbit" is a fantasy tale involving elves, dwarves and dragons, and a journey to recapture some lost gold. Episodes are being broadcast at 6:30 P.M. Thursdays at a frequency of 89.3 megacycles. First chapter was presented last week. Music, including the theme, has been especially composed for the broadcast and will be used throughout the episodes. Speaking voices will include that of Rick Costin, freshman exchange student from Great Britain, who is reading the narrator's part."
