[page 17] "THANK GOODNESS!" ----- Bruce Pelz As one of the first official act @acts@ of the Fellowship of the Ring, it is presenting an award at the Fan Art Show, being held at the 18th World Science Fiction Convention (Pittsburgh). The award is to be presented to the best piece of art on some subject relating to _The Lord of the Rings_. The award itself is a large goblet, with the design found on the dust jacket of the British edition of the books, engraved on the bowl of the goblet.by @goblet by@ Don Simpson of Los Angeles. On the base of the award is engraved "FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING ART AWARD 1960." We hope to be able to award comparable trophies in years to come, as often as the Fan Art Shows may be held at the Worldcons.
